American traditional doom metal trio The Gates of Slumber has already been mentioned in the pages ISK Web Magazine review of reissues of their album, “Suffer No Guilt”. 2012th year on the CD reissue has experienced and their widely acclaimed debut work “… The Awakening.” Praised, and not without reason, this debut album is a pompous piece of old school  dumanja .

The growing popularity of the genre, and the band has led up to this re-release in CD format by Abyss Records that is simply worth having. With a brand new cover design and layout issues that illustrate legend Ken Kelly (Conan / KISS / Manowar …), on this issue there is a bonus track for the first time on CD release “The Cloaked Figure”.

This edition, even more than the earlier talked about “Suffer No Guilt” album draws on Saint Vitus to the extent that only the vocals that make the difference between the two bands. Since I’m the person that Saint Vitus never enough, it will mean that this album is under compulsion to all of you who have not already met with the same.
