The GARDNERZ (Sweden) “It All Fades” CD EP review

After a successful (in my opinion) debut album The Gardnerz are back this time with an EP that actually features 5 new tracks and a cover of Darkthrone’s Transylvanian Hunger (weird choice for a Doom Death band) totaling a bit more than 35 minutes. their music could be described as a combination of mid to late ’90’s Anathema and Paradise Lost plus some influences from the mid ’90’s European Death Metal scene on slow or mid-tempo rhythms with loads of melody thrown inthere all the time. I like this band very much and I believe their potential is huge, they only need to find and add more hooks in their tracks for the next Doom Death masterpiece to be unleashed. The Darkthrone cover is also awesome played on acoustic guitars only supported by calm, jazzy, enchanting female vocals, nothing you’d expect. Thumbs up, can’t wait for their next release!
