1. Can i get a backstory on the band/ band biography?

Nope… But you can enjoy these songs instead:

2. What lyrical theme do you guys use in your music? What message do you want to send?

The lyrics is about life and choices we make… There is no right or wrong, just different perspectives. Our first album is mostly about the dark side of life. With great pain comes great truth… How else will we learn?

3. How have the gigs you guys been doing been?

Terrible… Just… Terrible… We hope to get our first tour next year in spring, bands have already asked us if they can support us (pretty famous bands too). But since that money rules this business It’s really impossible for us to get out there and gig, because we have no money and I also just recently got fired from my day job too, so it’s even worse than before. We hope that anyone can help us financial or any possible way to get us out there to gig, we are so frustrated right now we can’t gig because they want us to pay prices we have never heard of or seen that kind of amount of money in our entire lives! For what… One week tour? Like I said… We are hoping for a miracle to happened next spring since that alot of bands wants to tour with us.

4. What equipment do you guys use?

I play on Randall transistor, because I like the brutal sound from transistors and not that clean digital sound from valves or tubes or whatever the english name is for it… We don’t like pipe rigs like Engl. And the drums are put together with alot of scotch tape and different cymbals and stuff that has been given away from friends who doesn’t need the parts anymore.

We come from very poor hoods in Sweden and not from the rich areas where the most of the metal elite in sweden comes from… They are the only ones who has afford with expensive instruments which is pretty sad because they are the ones who sucks most of all playing metal. Metal is about real darkness, pain and misery… How the fuck can you get inspiration fore that if the worst thing has happened to your life is your Ferrari got a flat tire? Sorry… I really despise metal wannabes… They are so many today… And rules the entire market today and have make it impossible for musicians like us to get out there and show the world.

5. What bands have influenced your band and its sound?

Not that many metalbands actually, it’s no idea to write it down here since that you probably have never heard of them… Magazines and stupid ppl have compared us with David Townsed and Forever Eternity and other bands we have never heard of. I guess it’s because it’s closest to our sound, yet it’s so far away from our sound. The metalbands that has influenced us are bands like Nile, Absu, Shining and Nevermore… All the other influences we have for our music does not come from metal at all. You will see a big difference in next album if we ever get afford to do it.

6. Do you remember your first show and what was it like?

Hahahaha yes I do! It was only one person in the audience and that person was my brother’s girlfriend.

7. What made you guys decide to form a band?

We love to play and create music… We don’t know why we feel so passionate about it, we just do… And that’s why we play in a band, simple as that.

8. What is your opinion on sites posting your guys material and other bands material?

We feel joy and happiness there are actually people who likes us so much they have to share it to the rest of the world… It’s an honour.

9. Is there any bands that you guys enjoyed playing with more then the others?

It’s hard to tell… But I would say Aeon and Mayhem was really fun to play with.

10. How do you guys feel about the classifications in metal? like deathcore, metalcore and other subgenres and how some get a negative rep.

Metal is evolving like anything else and that’s how the metal scene looks today… We don’t know much about the new styles of metal but we have seen the metal image today is sidebang hair-styles and more make up to the guys… We know we’re not so good following these new trends, but we are’nt so interested in that… We just loves to play metal in our own way and if people don’t like it, that’s their problem.

11. What song do you enjoy playing the most?

Always the new ones… But in the end, we love to play all the songs equally much.

12. When not doing things with the band, what can you guys be seen doing?

Playing video games, shoot some pool, meet friends, playing soccer, partying, fishing, watch HBO series, meet women, go to concerts, basketball, bike riding, meditation, fool around on the internet and much more.

13. Your biggest band moment?

Releasing the debut album. It took us two years to have it released when we recorded it back in 2010. The studio wanted us to pay more and more every time we payed them the full amount… They just changed the price every time we payed them, and when we payed them they suddenly “disappeared” and none of us could get any answers except after several months of hard work of calling, mailing, texting and so on and then we finally got an answer from them, and the answer was they want even more money than we agreed from the beginning. And every time we payed them the amount they asked for, they disappeared and did the same thing over and over again in two years and asked for more money… What could we do? It was an horrible nightmare.. There where lots of times we thought it will never be released… But in the end after several loans from the bank, giving away my precious guitar (the guitar alone is worth more than what we should payed in the beginning) to them because they demand it and I also gave away all my savings and money, then they finally agreed to release it after two years! And that was the happiest moment in our lives!

14. What is your opinion on the current state of metal?

The metal genre suffers today like all the other musical genres or any form of art… We live in very dark ages today so people have hard time to find good inspiration I guess. That’s why we got only remakes on the movies today like “Addams Family 3D” or “Batman vs Superman” because they have run out of ideas… I have seen that lack of inspiration in art, music and movies, basically everywhere… That’s why we have today thousands and thousands metalbands that copies other metalbands… Why listen to the copy when you can hear the original and the real thing? People or so lost today I don’t think the chances are that big anymore they will use their own mind and imagination to create something of their own… Like I said, we live in a very dark age right now.

15. How did you guys come up with your band name?

I checked a list of different spider species from a friend of mine who’s an expert in that area. And I found a spider on that list called “Liphistious Desultor”, and I thought Desultor would be a great name for the band! Bandnames doesn’t have to mean something particular… It’s like peoples name for example “Brian”, it doesn’t mean anything.

16. What can the fans expect to see from you in the future?

I still have alot of financial difficulties from the album costs… And now that I also recently got fired from my job I try to fight every day to find some food and not get homeless, which will probably happen soon… So my priorities is to survive in the moment right now, but when I pass this we will record a second album (which we are working on right now) and play metal you have never heard of before… It will be more epic than the first album, I guarantee it. We will use a whole bunch of new instruments and stuff that will chock alot of people in the way they didn’t know it was possible you to write metal in that sort of way. I really really really hope we can do that sometime in near future, that’s my biggest dream right now.
